How to make Buras

HOW TO MAKE A DELICIOUS BURAS TYPICAL SULAWASI

Buras is a typical food from the South Sulawesi region that has a more savory taste like rice uduk, but the rice is covered in long wrapped with banana leaves like lontong. Nasi Buras is a food made with a blend of rice and coconut milk and other spices. In other areas it may be difficult to find this good Buras, but we can make it ourselves without having to come all the way to South Sulawesi. Makes Buras very easy and simple with easy-to-find ingredients. This food is suitable served at breakfast. Immediately, below is the process of making Buras.

Material : 1 liter of good quality rice, 3 bay leaves (washed), 3/4 liter of coconut milk, Salt, Banana leaf for wrapping, Rope to bind.
How to Make a Buras:
        First, wash the rice with water until it is completely clean and until the water of the wash looks clear, drain. Then steam the well-washed rice until it's half cooked, lift it and put it into the basin. Then pour coconut milk then add salt and enter bay leaves, stirring until evenly with rice that is half cooked until coconut milk absorbed. Steam back rice that has been stirred with coconut milk until cooked and tender for about 15-20 minutes, remove. Next, grab enough steamed Buras then wrap it in banana leaf and tie it with 3-4 ties (do this process until done). Lastly, steam again Buras that have been wrapped for 40 minutes, lift and ready to serve.

        Chill and serve with sambal poyah. If there can be served with satay spice salad, sweet sate satay, meatballs, coto, beef jerky or serundeng.
