Flashlight Inauguration

     Inauguration is a routine tradition performed by all faculties in Islamic State University of Makassar. It is such a moment to gather students in a togetherness. And mostly this tradition showed a performance that held and organized by students.

    
       In this time, the writer will give you the information about the Inauguration of Student English Education Department Generation 2016. This event recently just conducted in Swiss Belinn Hotel of Makassar on 19 th May 2017. In this inauguration had different theme with the last inauguration that held last year, that is “ The Light Gather Us”. Which is the theme used because they felt the togetherness in the English Camp Program. Like Chairman of the Committee said, “This theme begins when we were in English Camp program, the light that we mean is our togetherness in that program.” (Rahmat Ramadhan 02/06). This was an spectacular event, which is full with nice performances. There was Angaru, the Sulawesi traditional performance, used to welcoming Audiences. There was also some traditional dances, like Paduppa, 4 ethnic dance, Toraja dance, Handmime, Theater, Percussion, and Contemporary dance.

     In generally way this event divided into two sessions. Which is the formal and informal sessions, the formal sessions (paduppa traditional dance, opening speech, and the strengthen of the generation) and informal sessions (4 ethnic dance, Toraja dance, Contemporary  dance, Vocal  group, Percussion, Theater, and handmime). Actually the event should start at 19:00 but the reality the event start at the 21:00. The event was began with Paddupa traditional dance, this dance consist of 3 people, after that the event continued by the welcoming speech by the Dean of Tarbiyah and Teaching faculty, and then the welcoming speech by the Chief of English Educational Department. the formal sessions was closed by the strengthen of the generation, which is that mean the event moved to the informal session. 

      This sessions was opened by the performance of 4 ethnic dance, it was the traditional dance form the different district which were Bugis, Makassar, Toraja and Mandar. The dancer consisted of 4 dancers that showed their respective ethnics. The second performance was " pa'gellu" traditional dance, it consisted of 3 dancers. The third performance was Handmime, where all the people who attend this event said that this was the best performance from the other performances. " This performances is amazing iam still wondering how they can make that happen, its hard to make a good teamwork and they bring it to us in beautifully way" said fazham fadil from Makassar State University. The fourth performance was theater, it was talked about the life of " Anak lorong". The fifth and the last performance was a percussion and Batuta Dance its was one of the contemporary dance that consisted of 9 dancer. 

        The guest that came this inauguration was not only from the english education itself but also every student form different major, faculty or even university. Most of the guest that came this event said that its was a good event with an entertaining performances, a fancy and elegant place, you know why? because the place that they took was one of the famous and expensive place in Makassar. " i really dont know how they can collect a  lot of money to rent this place" fahzam fadil from Makassar State University.Many audience said they satisfied with this event, but still there was a problem that happened, like their lack of chair and the time problem " honestly i enjoy this event but it took 2 hour to start the event, and i have to say that iam litle bit dissapointed because of that i cant follow all of the performance till it end, But overall this is amazing inauguration especially their handmime. " said Mifta Huljanna from Hasanuddin State university. Another from that this event could be happen because their hardwork,the chief of committee even said that it needed 3 months for preparing this event. They realized that to make this event success, they have to sacrifice their energy and time, and of course without the senior support this event could not happen. He also not forget to give a big thanks to all the people and friends that support and help this event.     

    This inauguration will be one of the most memorable inauguration that ever held since the first inauguration several years ago."This inauguration make a new record, the inaugurations several years ago held just in the center of Library. Now they performing in the hotel and it is a fancy and famous hotel.The dance, percussion and the others performance proof that even they are students from educational department,they also have another special talent and I proud of them. Although they may do some mistakes but overall it is an extraordinary and I hope in the another event they can get more audience" he said.

      The another reason this amazing inauguration can be held in the successed way, it was because of their budget. This event spent over Rp. 23,3 Millions, this a lot off many they got from the teamwork in fundraising, bazaar and of course the sponsors that they got, that was GEEartwear, Trenum Clothing, Naj Make Up, Washila, Media Partner, Otodidak, Medina Canteen and Estetika.  With all of that sponsors we can said that they are very brave to target the fancy place to conduct their event. And then, with their sponsors, budget, teamwork, amazing performance, a fancy and famous place this inauguration more that extraordinary Amazing.
